2013 major event

Realizing that continued growth necessitated upgrading our facilities, we invested in a 30,000 square foot warehouse in Brooklyn. This facility, which was outfitted with the most modern storage equipment, allowed us to combine our cold and dry storage facilities. With the ability to centralize our inventory and the addition of the most current management tools, we were able to operate at a higher level of efficiency which was important as the growth of Japanese restaurant industry in the United States was leading to the demand for more and varied products. This modern facility allowed us to develop a backup system for emergencies and to increase the storage time for certain items. As an added bonus, we were able to dedicate a portion of our space to public cold storage, a growing and profitable field.
