WMS (Warehouse Management System)

Our systems have been designed to provide our customers with increased visibility to their data.. Customers have access to product inventory and information any time of day, any day of the year. Unlike other warehouse management systems (WMS) our system is built to handle the complexity of a multi-client operation. Our WMS system allows our customers to access their inventory via our “Preferred Online” web portal where they can create custom reports and automate report delivery by email. Customers are also able to view signed Bill of Ladings in real-time due to our advanced signature capturing technology. We also offer EDI integration with all the popular ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics among others in a variety of industry formats.

Data Center / Disaster Recovery

We maintain both a production and backup data center as part of our business continuity plan. Both data centers are 100% virtualized making us more agile and responsive to today’s growing business demands. We also utilize EMC SAN’s with SSD’s (Solid State Drives) for storage and Cisco UCS blade servers which have streamlined our server deployment activities. This lets our IT staff devote more of their time to more value added activities that benefit our customers.

Both Data Centers are equipped with uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and diesel generators so in the event of a sudden power loss, our systems remain running. We also utilize a Novec fire suppression system which is a unique fire extinguishing agent designed to protect both our computer equipment and personnel. . It has "zero ozone depletion potential" and a global warming potential of just one.

Truck Yards

Preferred's truck yards are oversized, offer staging areas, and are well marked for low traffic flow, which improves overall safety. This allows for carriers - yours and ours - to have greater maneuverability and accessibility to our facilities, improved service levels, and faster turnaround time.
